Surgery Day

8:00am, arrive at the surgery center. 8:15, Savannah is registered. 9:15 Savannah gets her "silly juice". 9:45, Dr. D. comes in and asks Savannah if she is drunk yet. She giggles (the silly juice working) and he asks her how many hands he is holding up. Savannah says 5 and the surgery will go as scheduled. She said her goodbyes to Mommy and Daddy and away goes our brave little solider. 10:45. we see her in recovery, crying. Our hearts are broken. We have to be the meanest most awful parents alive. We don't deserve her. What kind of parents takes a perfectly healthy, tan, happy little girl and make her suffer like this? I told her she would be in my arms when she wakes up, but they woke her up before I came in. Mommy had not kept her promise, and what was this pain? Mommy didn't tell her about that part! Mommy just said she would wake up as quick as she fell asleep, then soon she would sleep well at night, no more sleep walking, waking up 5 times a night or kicking mommy in the back in the middle of the night. Mommy bad. Mommy mean. Well at least I didn't break a window! hahaha (insider joke, I guess!)

Mean mommy aside, Savannah is doing quite well. She is all doped up and has been asking for SunDrop Sherbet. She got her sherbet and a whole lot more pain meds. I think the only thing she would be hating in the next few days, is no swimming or strenuous playing. This might be the end of her. She told me that she thinks she will never scream again. I think this might be a good thing. Oh here comes mean mommy again.

We got pictures of her on the silly juice, but they are on Jerry's phone and we will have to upload them later.

Hope everything is going well for everyone!

Updates, as I promised

Am I the only one glad to have her graduate? Everyone looks so serious! There were people in the audience while the kids were walking across the stage screaming, "Git R Done!" I was screaming "We got her done!" Can I get a Woo Hoo?!

Lots going on already. Savannah is scheduled for surgery on June, 19th. Say a little prayer for her. She is having a tonsillectomy and an adenoidectomy. Big words, I know. She isn't afraid, but she will be when it is over. She hates pain. I don't have the heart to tell her it is going to hurt after surgery. I just told her that she will be asleep and she won't feel a thing. So far so good. She will hate me later, I am sure of it. So what else is new huh?

Graduation was great and we had so much fun having everyone here to visit. The party was a smash. There were so many people there I couldn't count, everyone loves Cami.

We have been at the pool almost every day. It rained yesterday and today is threatening, another boring day in front of the tube. Thank goodness we got DirecTV just in time! The thing has a DVR so we can record good shows and watch them any time, so sweet! I love being able to pause live TV too. I am so spoiled! Thanks Jerry!

What A Week!

Well, we got Seminary Graduation over with. We got the NorthEast Medical Center Honors over with. We got the National Arts Honor Society Banquet over with. 3 down the big one to go. Graduation is June 8th. Savannah's awards day is June 7th. It will be so nice to have it all over with and sit back and relax this summer. Nothing to look forward to but the pool and lots of sun!

This week we got our dinning room painted. It looks awesome. If you don't have you home painted, I suggest you do so, it really makes it feel cozy and lived in. I was just scared to paint, because it seemed so permanent. It really looks great.
