Ok, so American Idol is over, well almost, we know Jordin will win (love her!). She rocks, Blake will win too in his own way, I wanna be the first to buy his CD.
We got DirecTV today. We haven't had it for a couple of years (trying to save money). What channels! What a DVR! My life has now changed forever. No longer will I sit up at night telling myself I will make up sleep the next day because Lost changed it's time to 10:00! No longer will I sit and watch some goofy fishing show because there is nothing else on! No longer will I have the TV off. What? The TV will be on all the time? Oh no, now I remember. Cartoon Network, Boomerang (still cool) Nickelodeon, Disney Channels! Oh NO! The TV will truly be on all the time now! I have kinda missed Spongebob and Timmy Turner.
I subbed today in the seriously EC class today. There was only 3 kids, one was in a wheelchair so you would think it would be easy. Whew did Bryant have a meltdown today. Someone messed with his meds and he started tapping his feet and waving his arms. And to top off that craziness Mauro forgot to use his toungue while I was feeding him today. Mashed chicken nuggets and macaroni salad. Lets not forget the catchup. Was kinda gross. But I sure love these boys. They are trying so hard and have come so far this year. When I subbed in the class at the beginning of the year, it was constant restraint, and diaper changing and trying to figure out what they needed or wanted. I see today at the end of the year that Jackson is using words like yes, no, hi and love you. The sweetest thing is when he runs around the playground backwards with his sunglasses on. Too dang cute. He put on 3 pounds since December, which is something. he is 6 and is 28 pounds now! I see changes in Bryant too, new glasses are the most noticeable, and the meds change is apparent, but he really does do better now, he is eating more than just canned spaghetti. Mauro smiles a lot. I put his leg braces on right all by myself today, he told me I did it right. I used to get them on the wrong feet and he wouldn't say anything. I did it right the first time this time. Yea me. I think he thinks I am nuts, but he just smiles and makes the nummy nummy sound anyway.
Jerry just left for work, I miss him already. He is such a good husband. When Janet and I got home from TOFW in Raleigh, Jerry made us steaks on the grill and served us salads outside on the patio. It was great, he said he didn't want our weekend to end, just keep on going. Well, when Janet heard this she told her husband (who is equally wonderful I might add) and he calls Jerry and tells him to lay off, he is making the other hubbies look bad. We laughed and laughed.
Janet and I really are blessed. We know it and don't take them for granted. :o)
Live long and prosper....
