Merry Christmas! er.. hem~ Happy Happy Holidays!

Well the holidays are here and are we ready kids? I can't hear you... Oh.. Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?? Uh oh, too much TV with Savannah. She was out with the sniffles this one day this week. She is fine. Well to update lets see, Cami is working a new job as a nanny for her boss from X-treme Play. She loves it, she has more freedom and her nights free which she loves. The boys (ages, 7, 3, 2,and 1) are one heck of a handful, but she seems to be handling it very well. She hasn't run out screaming yet, and the kids still seem to like her. I think it is good for her, she can learn a lot. For some reason I wasn't able to teach her the fine art of cooking and cleaning and diaper changing. She acts like this is the first time she has ever done any of those things. It is quite funny, and I think she is happy. Savannah just got her progress report and as usual she is doing great. Still loves school and her teacher. I hope this lasts for the next 10 years!

Jerry and I started our own online travel agent biz. Anyone who reads this had better book travel on our site or I will feel really bad. Just kidding. This is booking travel on the same airlines and cruises as all the other sites (ie, travelocity, cheap seats etc..), this one pays us commission every time someone books. So go check it out, let us know if you like it or have any comments. www.ytb.com/notroubletravel Feel free to call us anytime if you don't want to go online to book and want us to book it for you. Next weekend we will go to RTA training in Charlotte, looking forward to that! I love to learn about the travel biz. I'm so excited!

Anyway, Christmas cards are on their way to most of you, and have a good one!

Love
Suzanne

Ok, you have to see these Halloween pix

WOW ! What a couple of weekends!

Last weekend we "stepped out" for a walk-a-thon for Diabetes for the American Diabetes Association! Our group from Bank of America raised over $6,500! We took Maggie and Savannah and walked 3.2 miles. We all had to soak our feet when we got home. We would have soaked Maggie's feet but she wouldn't have stood still in the warm water. It was a really fun day! Jerry and Savannah went to the Nature Museum after the walk, they loved that too.

This weekend, I got to go to another Time Out for Women. This time in Atlanta. It was great, as always. I stayed with Janet and Al. Here are some pix of them too. Ain't they cuuuuute??

Isn't It Halloween Yet?

Oh the Humiliation! Cami bought this little bunny outfit for Maggie. She is dangerous with money and a job, believe me! I thought it was funny and since I don't have any prego pix or new kid pix to put up, I thought I would concentrate on the "Belle of the House", Maggie. She really is a good sport when it comes to dressing up. She takes about all she can, with a few licks to the face to let you know she really loves you but would rather not be dressed up, then she takes off and heads outside. She really is quite quick about the last action mentioned. We now have a "doggie-door" that she is very proficient at using. She races through that thing quicker than you can think "She's gonna hit the door!". She then races through the door with lightening speed and accuracy. When Spike, Ryan's dog was here it was very funny to see the two of them race for the door. Spike was usually a little slower than Maggie and would get under her. I don't know how she managed to not step on him or really get too irritated with him. I think she thought it was a fun game. Sometimes he would miss and hit his head on the edge of the door, or stop right at the door as Maggie goes sailing outside. I have video of it, if there were some way of uploading that somewhere on this thing I would. Although I would have to put a disclaimer on the bottom about wetting your pants and wearing depends when you watch. It should be recommended.

Well, nothing else going on, Ta Ta For Now!

A new day a dawnin'

Hey everyone!
Well, for those of you who care, and maybe for those who don't I have news. I quit my job. This is a good thing. When you do what you love it it a joy to go to work and you can put up with a lot of crap. Well I guess I didn't love my job as much as I thought. I didn't like the crap and wasn't willing to put up with it. I loved the kids and working with my friends. But I missed doing it because I love it. I was doing it because I thought I had to. I have missed taking care of my family and doing fun stuff when I want to. So, horray to me! The pic above is the kids, Matt and Ryan's dog Spawn. Spawn. Yes Spawn. Shea is his mom, so he is names Spawn of Shea. I hate it, but it isn't my dog. He is cute though isn't he?

1982, Seminary Super Saturday dance, all the girls wanted to dance with him, and he didn't let them down.

Our first date was in 1983 to the Independence HS ROTC Ball.

4. Where was you first kiss?
On the dance floor at the ROTC Ball, He was so smooth.

Well, we met in '82 and were married in '99. Long story. Ok guess that wasn't the engagement, the engagement was about a year.

Well our summer is officially over...

School has started. Ugh. I was having such a fun summer and WHAM! School starts again. You would think it was I, Suzanne mother of three, father to none, who was going back to school. Thus it is true. I shall return to school, but to substitute teach not to learn. Well I might add a little note, I usually learn more than they do. Savannah is the last one in school, another 10 years of insanity. Ooo Did I say that out loud? Ok, well I have put two kids through school and I know insanity is on the way. It is called high school. But at least I have a break for now. Yea right, Savannah and I are already arguing about what she wears in the morning. Uniforms are not all created equal! I shall say no more about that.

Anyway, fun things coming up. Labor day, we get to go to the pool again one last time. Last dip, yea! We will be enjoying the company of the sweetest little college student ever! Louremy Pena, a dear friend of ours will stay with us for a while. I wanted to adopt her, but her mom really likes her and said she is the only girl in the family of 4 boys and is not willing to part with her permanently. She is a freshman at UNCC studying engineering, and her father got a new job in Memphis. Needless to say we are thrilled to have her join our little throng. Jerry says it is no problem to add one more girl. What a good guy, huh? It may be an excuse to do more fishing, maybe? Cami is still working at X-treme play, she loves it. We finally got her to take the placement and compass exams to enter RCCC, she will be ready for the spring semester. She is pretty excited.

Well that is it for now. I guess I will have to change the name of this blog. LOL

Ultimate Vacation Spot

I think we have found the truly untapped beauty and picturesqueness of the south! www.innofthesouth.com The thing they don't tell you about is all the "Gone With The Wind memorabilia they have around. Be sure to go on the virtual tour on the website, that will save a lot of blog space.

Ok, the vacation trip. We left on Friday and drove to Knoxville to stay the night in the most awful, nasty most expensive place around. There is a very long ugly story there, I won't bore you with it. Then we got up as early as we could and drove to Louisville, KY to attend Jerry's mom's families reunion. It was nice to see everyone again (since last summer). See pix below. We stayed overnight and went to church with Aunt Lora and her husband Paul. It was nice little ward, strangely there was a lot of people from Utah there. Then we stayed another night and got up the next morning to go the Louisville Slugger museum where they make the base ball bats. That was a lot of fun. (again, see pix below) Then we drove on to Cincinnati. We wanted to see Uncle Carmel's wife Anne and Carmel's granddaughter Stevie Ray. She is Savannah's age and they really hit it off last year and Savannah was dying to see her again!. We also went to visit Jerry's cousin Steven. He lives in a nursing home and has Lou Gehrig's disease. What an awesome man! I was truly in awe of how Heavenly Father blesses us. Ask me about it later if you are interested. We then drove to Georgetown, KY and stayed over night before heading to the Smoky Mountains. Talk about horse country! It was beautiful and hot. We then drove to Sevierville, TN and stayed at the Clarion Inn. That could have been my whole vacation for all I care. It was so wonderful, indoor and outdoor pools, lazy river and a hot tub. See above for more details. We went one afternoon to see Dolly's Dixie Stampede. It was really cool, just like Medieval Times, you eat with your fingers and choose sides, the North or the South, every one got crazy and ate too much. We then drove though Gatlinburg, TN. We will definitely have to go visit after i get my feet fixed! There is way too much walking. I haven't been to Park City, UT before, but what I imagine it looking like is what Gatlinburg looks like. We then took the long way home just so we could stay in the mountains a little longer. When we peaked at the top of the mountains it was 89 degrees, by the time we got home it was 107 degrees.

So much for trying to decide whether to go to the mountains or the beach this summer? I went to both! I suggest every one go at least once to both places! Let me know when you want to go and I will be more than glad to tag along!

Disclaimer: Cami stayed home, she had to work, she also chose to stay home and take care of Maggie.

Back from Hilton Head!

We had a great time in Hilton Head staying with Cami's friend Louremy! We hit the pool every day, the beach once, shopping twice and para sailing today! I will have a pic of that up later, I had others take the pix because I was afraid I would drop my camera in the water! (A very real reality!) Enjoy the pix!

It's 11:01pm

I am lonely! Cami left for Palmyra today. I miss her! She will come home on Friday, just in time for Jerry and I to go to Columbia, then she will leave again for Hilton Head Sunday after church! Waaaaaaaaaa'>' We won't see her until July 30th! Not fair! booohoooo So, Jerry and I are trying to figure out what to do with our time. We want to go to the beach, ok, I want to go to the beach, Jerry wants to go to the mountains. What to do what to do!? Ideas anyone?

I guess I'll go to bed, but here are some pix of us at our ward luau. I ate Lomi Lomi for the first time, I think I said that right, it was raw salmon and what looked like pico de gallo. I dunno, it was good, slimy but good.
